VisitBritain in family-friendly focus as royal baby is born

June 30, 2016 • admin

As the royal family celebrate the birth of the 1st Prince of Cambridge, VisitBritain are encouraging travellers to go to the country’s royal sights and produce their families to sample the attractions.

The son of Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, was born at 4:24 p.m. Monday, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces, Buckingham Palace revealed.

The news of the birth was announced by easel proclamation outside Buckingham Palace, just as Prince William’s birth was announced in 1982.

In true tradition, visitors and well wishes queued outside Buckingham Palace to photograph the birth sign.

VisitBritain offers suggestions of royal-inspired family-friendly places to go to in Britain, bound to create special memories to your own little prince or princess!

For example, VisitBritain means that royal revellers explore areas of Kensington Palace which might be open to the general public (for the reason that private residence where the young family will live isn’t), comparable to the state apartments of the king and queen.

Kensington Palace is currently hosting a brand new Fashion Rules exhibition that includes dresses worn by Britain’s best dressed women; Queen Elizabeth, her sister Princess Margaret and Diana, the Princess of Wales.

VisitBritain is usually encouraging visitors to experience the rustic and coast, highlighting Norfolk, at Sandringham, a lovely estate that’s open to the general public to go to. It also highlights the Norfolk coast, that’s famed for a number of Britain’s prettiest beaches.

Buckingham Palace may also be open for visitors this summer with a different exhibition to accompany the summer opening that celebrates the Queen’s Coronation 60 years ago.The Palace has a drop-in learning room where older kids can design their very own carriage to head home in.
