Oman’s ministry of tourism will give a different presentation of the newest tourism developments inside the sultanate as portion of its participation on the Gulf Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings exhibition.
Senior officials from the ministry can also be attending several pre-arranged meetings with various MICE travel suppliers and other key industry players throughout the event.
The major hospitality developments in Oman that would be showcased include the vacation Inn As Seeb, the Swiss-BelHotel in Muscat, Crowne Plaza in Duqm, Radisson Blu in Sohar and the proposed Missoni Jebel Sifah among others.
The ministry will particularly specialise in Oman’s growing reputation as a well-liked business tourism destination with its aggressive development of assorted meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions amenities, including the USD1.8 billion Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre that may be set to open in 2017.
Khalid Al Zadjali, director of tourism events, Oman ministry of tourism, said: “GIBTM has always been a fantastic platform that enhances the Ministry’s continuing efforts to advertise Oman as a great destination for business and leisure tourism.
“The success of our participation at GIBTM 2013 will set the pace for the remainder of the initiatives and activities that we have got lined up for the year.
“We are hopeful for showcasing the Sultanate’s world-class meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions amenities on the GIBTM, as well as Oman’s unique array of leisure, cultural, historical attractions.”
GIBTM 2013 will gather professionals from the MICE industry within the Middle East, including regional and international industry buyers and suppliers.
The trade event have been recognised as a driver behind the construction of the pro MICE industry around the region.
