Messe Berlin has announced the appointment of Ingrid Maaß as its new chief operating officer following its latest regular supervisory board meeting.
The move follows a choice by the supervisory board, in December 2012, to nominate Christian Göke to succeed the present chief executive, Raimund Hosch, who’s as a result of retire on the end of June.
Maaß studied business management, and, following posts with KPMG Consulting, IKB Private Equity and The economic Investment Council, was a board member of CNC Communications & Network Consulting AG in Munich.
Hans-Joachim Kamp, chairman Messe Berlin supervisory board, welcomed the verdict: “Ingrid Maaß possesses outstanding financial and business management expertise.
“I am delighted that we have got secured the services of somebody who, along with Christian Göke, will continue to construct at the successes of Messe Berlin.”
Maaß will take in her post on August 1st.
Maaß added: “I look ahead to the various different challenges and operational responsibilities that managing this leading international company for trade fairs and congresses will bring along.
“Together with Christian Göke i’ll continue to expand this venue for trade fairs and congresses in its role as one of the crucial economic mainstays of the metropolitan region of Berlin/Brandenburg.”
