Travel Restriction Changes from 30 August 2021

The UK government has made some changes to the restrictions of certain countries as of 30 August 2021 at 4 am. Seven countries have been added to the green list, these countries are: The AzoresCanadaDenmarkFinlandLeitchenstienLituaniaSwitzerland If you are travelling back from a green or amber list country you do not need to quarantine, however you need to prove that you had a negative Covid test taken within three days of departure. You must also complete a passenger locator form and book a PCR test to be taken on or before day two of your arrival. This needs to be booked privately through a government-approved provider. Marriott celebrates grand opening of Downtown Little Rock Hotel

A prominent hotel in downtown Little Rock, Ark. raised the flag of Marriott Hotels and Resorts for the primary time on May 2, 2013 representing a vital change to city’s River Market district and convention center neighborhood. Celebrating the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony at what used to be referred to as the Peabody Hotel, dignitaries and native business representatives joined with hotel associates from the management firm of Davidson Hotels & Resorts and homeowner Executive Vice chairman Ed Ansbro of Fairwood Capital to inaugurate Arkansas’ first full-service Marriott hotel.

News: New tourism strategy from VisitBritain

Culture Secretary Maria Miller today launched a tourism partnership strategy for Britain which demands the travel industry and the federal government, which include key private and non-private sector bodies, to unite behind an extended-term ambition for growth that will see Britain welcome 40 million overseas visitors by 2020, spending £31.5 billion and supporting yet another 200,000 jobs around the country. Tourism is an industry that already employs 2.6 million people a year – supporting one in twelve jobs within the UK. In the past two years a 3rd of all new jobs created were in tourism. And tourism offers jobs across all skills levels and age ranges, particularly offering opportunities for children – 40 per cent of these employed in tourism are under 40.
