Over half (61%) of UK travellers are considering Croatia as a travel destination, a brand new TripAdvisor poll has revealed inside the week that Croatia becomes the ecu Union’s 28th member state.
The poll of four,000 British travellers follows a 14% surge within the variety of UK searches for Croatian holidays on TripAdvisor within the last three hundred and sixty five days.
However, it remains unclear as to if Croatia’s entry into the european will encourage more British holidaygoers to prefer the Balkan state in future. Below one in ten (7%) polled said that Croatia’s new EU status made them more drawn to visiting the rustic, while just below one in six (16%) admitted that Croatia’s EU membership had actually made them less all in favour of travelling there.
“Croatia is among the best value destinations in Europe, that is some of the reasons it’s proving so well-liked by British holidaymakers. Whether the country’s new status within the EU will spur or slow that growth in tourism is still seen,” commented TripAdvisor spokesperson, James Kay.

When comparing the price of an overnight stay in all of the EU’s 28 capital cities, Zagreb currently ranks because the eighth cheapest, with the typical price of a 4* hotel room coming in at £91.03 – lower than half the cost of an equivalent stay in London.
