TAP Portugal set for Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa

TAP Portugal will attend this years’ Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL), that is happening in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon.

BTL is Portugal’s largest travel fair, occurring until March 3rd 2013, and may mark the 25th anniversary of the development.

Although the show is traditionally referred to as a Portugal’s main tourism fair, it will be the second one year BTL can have representation from the vast majority of Portuguese speaking nations, including Brazil, Mozambique and Angola.

It is thought that this year will see the only millionth visitor attend the show since its inauguration in 1989, uniting each of the major national and international players within the travel and tourism industry under one roof.

In partnership with Turismo de Portugal, the tourism body of Portugal, TAP Portugal is sponsoring the BTL Hosted Buyers Program.

As a part of this TAP should be bringing over 350 travel agents, operators and journalists from various markets across Europe and different tourism sectors, including MICE, Religious tourism and Golf markets, who will then be hosted at some point of the exhibition.

The programme will aim to spotlight the diversity of destinations TAP Portugal has to provide these sectors, in addition to highlighting the rustic because the leading gateway to North and South America and Africa.
