Mega show World bill unveiled for Summerfest Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, organiser of SummerFest Abu Dhabi, the emirate’s seasonal destination extravaganza, has unveiled an action-packed line-up of 98 shows over 47 days during its flagship Show World family activation at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Free-to-attend for all SummerFest Abu Dhabi general ticket holders, Show World – some of the core attractions on the festival’s ADNEC hub – will feature seven blockbuster acts performing twice-daily shows during week-long runs. Show World can be open during the 52-day festival, which runs 27th June – 17th August and spans the Holy Month of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr and the emirate’s traditional EidFest celebrations. Abu Dhabi taps into MICE industry

Abu Dhabi have been named many of the top 100 busiest global meetings destinations within the International Congress and Convention Association’s (ICCA) 2012 global city rankings for the primary time, jumping from 234th place with eight meetings in 2011, to hosting 22 association meetings last year. The UAE capital is now ranked alongside other major meetings cities including: Atlanta, Georgia; Brasilia and Perth, Australia; and better than established global hubs equivalent to Las Vegas within the US and Cologne in Germany. The rankings are an annual league evaluated and published by ICCA, which represents the primary specialists in organising, transporting and accommodating international meetings and events, with over 950 members in 88 countries. GIBTM 2013 has opened its doors on today promising more opportunities to satisfy, learn and conduct business than ever before due to a flurry of latest exhibitors, show initiatives and academic concepts. This annual event, which happens on the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, this year welcomes 70 today’s exhibitors to the show floor, with a considerable increase in European destinations and corporations represented.
