Darin Davies, director of front house operations on the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, has recently been appointed president of the Association for Front Office Managers & Deputy Managers of Luxury Hotels. AICR was founded in 1964 by front office leader of several grand hotels within the south of France. The international organisation is represented in 15 countries and has slightly below 1,000 members and gives front office managers of luxury hotels with a useful network offering which include organising the coveted David Campbell Trophy. Darin’s role as president will give him a good insight into the hospitality industry. His new roles and responsibilities will include liaising with members worldwide, expanding the association, planning for the following presidium and receptionist of the year competition in Hamburg.
