News: New chief executive officer for Cardiff Airport

Jon Horne have been appointed to the role of chief executive at Cardiff Airport following its acquisition last week by the Welsh government. Announcing the appointment, Lord Rowe-Beddoe, chairman, Cardiff Airport, said: “His wide experience of the airport industry and his specific experience of running Cardiff Airport during a really successful period could be vital within the task of turning round the fortunes of Wales’ national airport by developing more airline services and destinations for the folk of Wales.” Horne, renowned within the aviation industry and Welsh business community, was managing director at Cardiff Airport from 2001 to 2007 and has previously held senior positions at London City Airport and Sheffield City Airport.
